British Medical Association - Support Your Surgery Campaign
The BMA is running an England-wide 'Support Your Surgery' campaign to defend and promote NHS GP services in England.
The BMA are worried that plans to introduce more commercial providers and polyclinics into general practice could destabilise existing services, depersonalise care and put some GP practices at risk of closure.
All GP practices in England have been sent campaign packs, including a petition which we hope patients will show their support and sign. The petition will be presented to the Prime Minister on 12 June 2008.
